Weed and Seed programs the Initiative supports are:
Off-the-Streets Gang Resistance and Youth Enrichment Programs
All youth programs include mentoring and structured curricula
Designed to strengthen the children's roles as community citizens, and their own talents and capacity to deal with conflict and competition
2010-2011 Programs:
Choices and Voices Programs: Teenagers participate in mentoring and tutoring programs in a secure environment;
BikeWorks teaching bike repair skills
and more
Food Pantry: located at 27 Fell Street open twice per month and on an emergency basis--distributing food for over 600 person-visits per month, and to over 1000 people on the holidays. Our amazing volunteers deliver to elderly and disabled shut-ins who cannot visit the pantry
